| Welcome to the California
Daylighting Plus Program
Sponsored
by the California Energy
Commission's Public Interest
Energy Research (PIER) Program
The
Daylighting Plus PIER research
program aims to promote better
understanding of daylighting
potential, strategies and metrics
with the aim to increase energy
savings from daylighting and
associated electric lighting in
commercial buildings in
California
. This is to be achieved through a
coordinated suite of research
projects and related market
connections activities. For more
information on these individual
projects, please click the links
above.
The
information generated in this
program will complement the
lighting industry’s efforts to
commercialize better technologies
by providing market data, human
behavior data, and practical
methods for optimizing buildings
and lighting systems to better
meet the needs of their humans.
The results will produce more
energy savings than any single
technology or group of
technologies could achieve on
their own.
